Move to a new machine

Keep your Worker ID and history when you change hardware.

A worker keeps a permanent Worker ID under your wallet. Moving it to new hardware keeps its ID and history.

Steps

  1. Install the worker on the new machine.
  2. Run the same start command with the same rig name:

$ ore start --wallet 0xYOUR_PUBLIC_ADDRESS --worker rig01 --device 0
  1. The terminal prints a link and a pairing code. Open the link, sign in with the reward wallet, check that the code matches, and approve the move.
  2. The new machine starts mining. The old machine's token is revoked at the moment you approve.

Safety

  • Approve only a code you see in your own terminal.
  • A request expires after 30 minutes.
  • If you did not start a move, choose Reject.
